How Do We Handle Our Royalty Free Music?
All of our products are available on a royalty free basis.
With our very simple subscription program to our production music, you pay on low price and enjoy access to every track for an entire year.
We make our production music easily available to our consumers with great low prices and easy terms of us. Our production music terms are also easy and flexible for large production companies and their uses at national and international levels. Though our music is pre-cleared for use on a royalty free basis, however this does not exempt broadcasters from performance royalty.
Now please don't let the word royalty frighten you. You as the direct consumer of our music are not actually paying royalties. How we work is simply like this. If you intend to use the music on this site for a national/international broadcast then we require a copy of the cue sheet that you would submit to the television or radio station so that we may collect our performance royalties from ASCAP or BMI. You do not pay for these royalties, the actual broadcaster (radio/TV stations) pay these royalties.
For those who use our product in there productions and actually distribute for profit, there may be a couple simple restrictions. Please check our 'terms of use' link below at the bottom of the page to review the complete details on what is permitted and not permitted uses of our royalty free product. |
Here is how WIKI describes royalty free music.
Royalty-free music commonly refers to stock or 'library music' licensed for a single fee, without the need to pay any subsequent royalties.
There are many applications for which music must be licensed, such as for use in video and multimedia production, but the traditional payment structure (in which a royalty is charged for each usage) would be cumbersome or more costly. Royalty-free music libraries address this by offering music that can be purchased for (in most cases) a one-time fee and then be used by the purchaser as many times as needed. |
